To the northwest is the port of La Magdalena, a natural mountain pass at 1,434 m that connects Oma\u00f1a with Asciano.<\/p>\n<p>The municipality has peaks that exceed 2,000 meters of altitude, like Alto de La Ca\u00f1ada (2,154 m.), at the boundary with Babia, the Tambar\u00f3n (2,102 M.) and the Nevad\u00edn (2,082 m.) bordering with the Alto Sil, and which attract many visitors by their demanding mountain routes of s Enderry and cycling, both in summer and under winter snow.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"standard_wrapper\">\n<div  class=\"one_third last withsmallpadding ppb_text\" style=\"padding:30px 0 30px 0;\" >\n<div class=\"standard_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"page_content_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"inner\">\n<div style=\"margin:auto;width:100%\">\n<p>During the glacial epochs of the Cuaternar\u00edo, these mountains were covered with perpetual snows that descended by gravity towards the low areas in the form of ice rivers. Its enormous force dug valleys, dragging the materials torn off and depositing after the melting of the ice in the passing areas.<\/p>\n<p>Many of its summits retain the imprint of ancient Ice, which is guessed in the shape of the valleys or in the presence of sediment accumulation. They are rivers and streams that fall laden with the snows in winter and spring and ensure the irrigation in summer. The river Oma\u00f1a, the Vallegordo and the Oma\u00f1\u00f3n. In the port of La Magdalena, part of the fluvial network of the Oma\u00f1a is saving the great height creating rapids and waterfalls as you can see in the cascade of the Ollinas, in the nursery or the well of the smokes, in Los Bayos. On the other side, the Oma\u00f1a River network joins the Sativa stream until it reaches Murias.
