VILLABANDÍN – PEÑAS BLANCAS

We leave the village of Villabandín and take the second street on the right as we come from Senra. You will come to a metal gate that you must pass through to continue the route. We begin to ascend very slightly along the path, the terrain is solid and very comfortable to walk on.

We cross a stone bridge and then the path begins to narrow. We pass between two immense stone walls that escort the path.

In about ten minutes we reach the Fuente de Peñas Blancas, the source with the highest quality water in Omaña. Here we find a plaque indicating that if we could reach the source of the spring the water would be pure.

From here we can see two caves, one of which is worth seeing, although it is necessary to go up the stream to the first mound and turn left.
To return to Villabandín we return along the same path.
