Fasgar

Located at the end of the Valle Gordo, it has numerous examples of popular Omaña architecture. The Chapel of Santiago Matamoros in the Campo de Santiago de Martín Moro Toledano, where, according to tradition, the Saint decided the victory of the Christians over the Moors, is one of the obligatory visits and is already the main stage of one of the most significant stretches of the Forgotten Way to Santiago. The scene of the film El Filandón, it celebrates its great pilgrimage on 25 July, St. James’ Day.

Recently inaugurated, Fasgar de Omaña has a hostel in its old schools, now restored. It is also possible to visit an old power station in the village, which used to supply the villages in the valley, now restored.
